MAPPING AND DATA TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE)

Currently we are seeking a trainee data and mapping technician to join our team focusing on the production of territory mapping solutions for the franchise and sales sectors. This role encompasses data planning and preparation, the creation of territory mapping infrastructures and the building of mini geographical mapping websites. Ideally you will have a 2:1 degree or equivalent in a subject with a mathematical or statistical component. You will enjoy problem solving challenges and have an inquisitive mind.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with client facing consultants to translate client business objectives into optimised territory structures or site location solutions

  • Migration of territory designs into web-based systems

  • Market assessment projects prior to developing territory infrastructures

  • Preparation, cleaning, merging and transformation of data prior to applying analytics in order to create balancing rules for the final territory option

  • Conversion of maps and spreadsheet output into on-line e-books

  • Adherence to best practice and quality control checking

  • Liaison with clients and suppliers

  • Researching demographic, business and geographic data for use in client projects 

Ideally you will have the following:

  • Be well organized and able to work across multiple projects at any one time

  • Ability to learn in a pressured and challenging environment

  • Take responsibility for accurate and timely delivery of high quality work

  • Embrace and be open and adaptable to change

  • Have an eagerness to learn and develop yourself

  • Aptitude to learn and apply software

Skills:

  • Numeracy (minimum GCSE Maths Grade B)

  • Must be computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

  • Good attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Logical thinker

  • Ability to plan ahead and prioritise

  • Knowledge of HTML and other web development languages such as PHP and Java would be advantageous, as would be skills in database development using mySQL or SQLServer


Location: Peterborough, Cambs.

Salary range: £17,000 p.a. plus bonus scheme

Contract: Permanent, full time

CONSULTATIVE SALES

Currently we are seeking a confident, persuasive and articulate B2B salesperson to sell territory mapping and analysis services to the sales and franchise sectors. This is a challenging role as part of a small team in a fast paced environment where your contribution plays an integral part in the success of the company. You will be a passionate and ambitious individual ideally of graduate calibre. You will have a keen interest in sales and an inquisitive nature and if you have experience of selling “solutions” and a proven track record so much the better.

We want to hear from individuals who are able to work independently, and who have excellent communication and strong problem solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Most importantly, we are looking for those who are friendly, eager to learn, and passionate about their chosen career path. 

 You will be:

  • Numerate (minimum GCSE Maths Grade B or equivalent)

  • A logical thinker who enjoys problem solving

  • Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Excel
