1. Should you use QPSMR Insight at your site?

QPSMR Insight is the complete research and analysis program, suitable for all levels of user, who wish to process paper, CAPI, diskette and e-mail surveys, quickly and efficiently.

This innovative software includes simple survey set up, where all entries can be created simply by making selections using your mouse. There are facilities for all types of research questions, and existing entries (or just selected responses from them) can be cut, copied and pasted as required; you can even copy and paste information from previously designed surveys.

Importantly, the same questionnaire may be used as a base for different types of interview. For example, you might define a self completion paper questionnaire, and simply by copying and modifying the survey, transform your original paper questionnaire into a "new" survey especially designed for personal interviewing (CAPI).

QPSMR Insight includes a fast, fully controlled data entry system. Filters may be used to control entry routing, and range checks may also be applied to numeric entries so that only responses within a specified range (for example, between 1 and 100) will be accepted. You may also temporarily halt data entry (if an inappropriate response is entered), include extra instructions for respondents or your data entry staff, randomise entries and their responses, carry forward response texts, and easily handle verbatim comments.

Data can be entered using your mouse or keyboard, and you can control the look of your data entry screen. QPSMR Insight has full updating, verifying data checking facilities, and data files can be split, combined or merged as required.

The data you collect, or information from almost any other program, can easily be analysed using the powerful, cross tabulation system included in QPSMR Insight.

You may create any number of tables to analyse the results of your surveys - 10,000 tables can be stored in each set! Question and response texts are used as labels, and your tables and all printed pages are automatically numbered.

Tables can be weighted and filtered to any level and you can include different types of percentages, response ranking (in descending or ascending order), any number of decimal places and statistics and significance tests, as required.

And last but by no means least…. QPSMR Insight users also have the power of distribution! As a full QPSMR user, you are in the unique position of being able to supply the QPSMR Input program for data entry, and QPSMR Reflect which is ideal for end-user analysis.

2. QPSMR Solo is ideal for DIY paper research!

QPSMR Solo is the easy-to-use survey software, especially designed for customers who wish to process non-complex paper based projects on their own PC.

With QPSMR Solo nothing is difficult, anyone can use it! Tutorial documents are supplied with the software to get you started, and the program has full "help" facilities including a detailed on-screen manual which, as well as giving comprehensive information, is crammed full of handy tips so you get the most out of your software.  Furthermore, with QPSMR Solo you may purchase a maintenance contract which means that, amongst other things, you may contact the QPSMR help-line for support and you will receive free upgrade disks, each time a new version is released.

Like the full QPSMR systems, QPSMR Solo allows you to design questionnaires using your mouse, making selections from windows and toolbars.

There are many design short cuts and existing entries (or just selected responses from them) can be cut, copied and pasted as required; you can even copy and paste information from previously designed questionnaires.

Data entry is simple, safe and swift! It is simple, as information can be entered using your mouse (to point and click appropriate responses), or if you prefer you can key response numbers using your keyboard. It’s safe, as only valid responses will be accepted in answer to single or multi response questions, and range checks can be set for numeric entries. And it’s swift as filters can be used to control entry routing, so only appropriate questions and responses are displayed, and serial numbers are automatically stepped up as each questionnaire is completed.

Once the information from your questionnaires has been collected, QPSMR Solo has many facilities which allow you tocheck your data, as well as a cross tabulation system so you can analyse the results from your surveys.

3. QPSMR CATI ... perfect for telephone interviews!

QPSMR CATI is the new telephone interviewing solution, especially designed for networked PC’s. Windows NT servers are used where appropriate and any number of interviewing stations can be accommodated.

QPSMR CATI is so easy to use! Questionnaires are created by making selections from toolbars and windows using your mouse, there is no syntax or script to learn. There are many built in design features, such as interviewer texts, question and response randomisation carry forward response texts, question and response filtering and hold screens, as well as a unique method of collecting and coding verbatim comments.

Interviewing with QPSMR CATI is fast and fully controlled; serial numbers are automatically issued and the station and user numbers, the date, duration and status of the interview are automatically collected by the program each time an interview is completed.

Data can be entered using a mouse, to point and click appropriate responses, or your staff can simply key response numbers using their keyboards.

To ensure valuable interviewing time is not wasted, QPSMR CATI has full NT server quota control facilities. As a supervisor, you decide the quotas required and the points during an interview when the quota should be checked. After each check the interview will continue, or terminate if the required quota has been reached. You can view, and if necessary update, your quota file at any time - even whilst interviews are taking place. When viewing the quota file, to ensure the information you see is current it is automatically updated every 20 seconds.
