Automate the output from multiple database selections in one hit of a button!  Ideal for database marketers and list brokers

The purpose of FastStats Cascade is to perform a hierarchical deduplication of records selected in an open ended set of selection cells. The hierarchical basis means cell one is used gross, cell two is used net of cell one, cell three is used net of cell one and net of cell two, etc. FastStats Cascade also collects and retains administrative control and costing details, and can produce a report of results.

Facilities

  • FastStats Cascade integrates with the FastStats selection system to obtain each cell details.

  • The user is able to define new cells, amend or delete existing cells. Amendments may include re-sequencing cells within the hierarchy through simple drag and drop.

  • FastStats Cascade collects and retains some administrative documentation against each cell such as cell name, selection description, cell list response code, fixed and variable costs.

  • FastStats Cascade displays gross and net counts and costs for each cell, the same data cumulative across cells, and a set of grand totals.

  • The user is able to specify an "X in N" fraction with an initial number to skip and a selected limit for each cell. Either all, or just the selected fraction of records can be used to suppress records from subsequent cells.

  • FastStats Cascade produces an output file of the net selected records with promotion and cell codes attached. Optionally, FastStats Cascade can produce a combined file of all net record URNs, or a set of similar files one per cell, to be used as a flag file in FastStats.

  • FastStats Cascade produces a report showing the cell hierarchy created with descriptions, names, N’ths, Gross and Net figures.

  • Cascade cells may be marked as excludes from the hierarchy.

Restrictions

FastStats Cascade will operate on sets of sorted unique reference numbers (as produced by FastStats). The system will only be useable on databases that have unique reference numbers, but can be used with any source system, not just FastStats. External lists will be process-able once they have been allocated a unique reference number of some sort. Sufficient disk space will be necessary to store all the input cells as reference numbers, plus additional space for the output results.

The Main Cascade Working Area

Promotion Code: Optional Promotion code prefix for all cells.

Output to: Output file pathname, for preparation of a single, consolidated, de-duplicated, response coded mailing file.

Faststats Cascade

Selection Cell Grid showing a three cell hierarchy with Gross and Net figures. The first selection cell has an N'th selection, the other two are net of the higher cells.

A single cell definition

Faststats Cascade - Cell Definition

Source of the selection cell - this can be your current FastStats selection, a saved selection or a reference number file.

Description of the cell.
Response code suffix for the selection cell (appended to the promotion code)

N'th selection panel. Allows a number of records to be skipped, and then a fraction to be selected up to a limit.

A suppression control to allow the un-selected N'th to be suppressed from subsequent cells in the hierarchy.

Split Panel to allow the selected N'th of a cell to be coded with a varying code e.g. Mailing packs A,B,C in promotions 10%, 40%, 50% respectively.
