Address Enhancement - Solution Approach...

What is needed is a mix of technology and methodology to:

• Extract information from each of the databases and convert it to a common format

• Remove erroneous characters and standardise data quality. Split to separate files to enable varying degrees of data entry to be correctly handled

• Split out mixed fields into new separate fields. Check gender against first name look up tables and derive new default salutations

• Batch address clean each separate country - first using an automated process then reverting to manual checking where conflicting information has been found

• Undertake deduplication - NB. See separate cloud for information on the deduplication process

• QC the restructured data, recombine separate countries and import back into the source databases using a match key unique reference number to link on

• Implement interactive address look-up and country specific registers on all data entry touch points together with data entry constraints

• Periodically re-run the batch address process to apply new postal changes such as redefined Postcodes
