Use Scripts to automate operations and integrate the FastStats system NEW! Profiling Tools to allow one data subset to be measured against another . . . and all of this at lightning speed!! Even Faster FastStats Classic is now even faster. A new compression mechanism means that the FastStats database engine stores your data in as little as 25% of the previous requirement. The reduced file size gives proportionally faster counts and analysis meaning that you benefit from improved response times even on the very biggest databases. The new compression mechanism is entirely compatible with previous FastStats configurations - existing users can simply install the newer software and immediately start gaining the benefits. The newest FastStats has significantly extended scripting mechanisms allowing you to control other programs and to automate regular or complex procedures. The latest scripting tools allow you to control every aspect of your FastStats system - if you want to run a script every time you use FastStats, it is easy - if you want a new menu option to start a script, it is just as easy. Profiling Use the new FastStats profiling extension to prepare penetrations and Z-score comparisons of target and base groups. FastStats allows the use of simple selections, combination selections, reference number files or SPSS CHAID gains chart nodes to build profiles. FastStats provides the following innovative features to help you benefit even more from your data analysis work:
* SPSS CHAID support requires SPSS options pack add on module. Continuous Variables Select on continuous variables (both numeric and string) by entering ranges into a selection window. Count, save, combine and export just like any other FastStats selection. Your ranges are automatically available for cross tabulations. Recency-Frequency-Value Marketing Selections Select on groups of records without needing to aggregate any customer / account / order information. Use any combination of "how many" and "how often", restricting your selection to the "first N" or "last N", use FastStats to implement your selection paradigm.
Reference Number Files Use FastStats to select based on files of unique reference numbers. For example include or exclude account numbers previously selected by FastStats or other systems. TFI File Joins New TFI technology to join files and load on the fly into FastStats. This approach saves disk space and avoids time consuming SQL and ODBC calls. Automatic Category Coding Let FastStats categorise continuous data into user defined bands as data is loaded. FastStats provides programmed mappings to re-code postcodes, dates etc. into categories for selection. Use FastStats to search for codes in an input file. For example, if not all source or product codes are known FastStats will find them and set them up as a click-to-select variable. Relational Data Support Hold up to 8 levels of related data in any FastStats file. For example select on variables defined at household, customer and order level. FastStats handles all the complexities returning selection counts and tabular analysis at the chosen level. FastStats can open a CHAID Gains Chart, filter the best segments and import them as FastStats selections. CHAID segments investigated on a sample can then be run on the full database. FastStats includes full charting facilities. Just one click turns a cross tabulation into a 3D chart.
