Global Datastore

All Global Address solutions are based on a dataset of definitive reference name and address information covering 237 countries against which client data can be matched for validation, correction and enhancement. The Global Datastore contains:

  • Over 50,000 first names from around the world for assigning genders

  • Forms of Address data for over 30 world languages to generate titles and salutations

  • Postal Address Data from over 237 country postal authorities, used for correcting inaccurate address data, and adding missing address components such as postal codes, regions etc.

  • Postal Address Formats for over 237 countries, enabling the correct layout of address components for mailing

Software applications and platforms

Global Address offers clients the flexibility to implement the software in their own enterprise or to access it via hosted services. The solution supports a broad range of applications and platforms, which are designed for implementation across the enterprise at every stage of the business process.  Global Address software can be integrated into existing third party applications on many platforms using the Application Program Interfaces (APIs) available on leading Microsoft® Windows® and UNIX® platforms.  The Global Address Interactive and Batch clients can be deployed on Windows platforms to provide stand-alone capabilities or integrated with existing software via XML.

A Few Features...

Global Address Suite is based on a Unicode-compliant platform, with extended support and processing of exotic character sets (e.g. Japanese Kanji and Katakana). Some key features include:

  • Filter Wizard to create SQL queries for analysis

  • A Matrix Report on matchscores tabulates the "input data vs PAF" matchscore against the "input data vs formatted output data" matchscore. This quickly identifies those records most likely to benefit from human intervention, thus minimising the time spent on manual processing. You can drill down from the Matrix directly to the data records to further speed the process. A link to Excel can be used to produce charts for reporting.

  • A Global Field Update function allows users to add or replace fields (for example, missing countries or consistent misspellings).

  • A de-duplication key can be generated based on up to 7 user-selected fields, and the results viewed in a grid. The records can be accessed directly from the grid.

These powerful features really streamline the data cleaning processes, especially for improving new datasets (bought-in lists, other acquired sources etc) and for quality checking and address updating of your existing records.
