What: KMX exports a model created with the KXEN Analytic Framework into SQL, PMML, C, VB, Java, JavaScript, SAS, KXEN and a variety of other output types. This code can be ported to a different machine to score data either in batch or interactive mode. A KXEN model contains all of the transforms performed by KXEN, and so supports all of the aggregated data information in the model, even when those columns are not in the original database.

Why: Model deployment represents a challenge in the analytic process. After a model has been built, it typically requires the original modeling workbench or some kind of runtime environment to score the entire customer database. KMX makes scoring independent from the modeling system and allows for very rapid deployment of models into production.

How: Using KMX, a customer can choose to export a model created on a laptop into SQL or any other supported code. This SQL file can then be executed directly on the corporate Mainframe database and does not require any additional software to run.
