Management System...
The MagentA Business Management System is primarily concerned with the allocation of business resources (staff, corporate knowledge, equipment, sites, rooms) to projects, orders and enquires, including scheduling and real-time re-scheduling in response to occurrence of unpredictable events. It includes support for strategic management tasks related to the development of the enterprise and its main resources (buildings, people, knowledge and equipment), which is achieved by monitoring the effectiveness of resource usage and making proposals for performance improvement (downsizing, outsourcing, training of staff, replacing old equipment, etc). The important function of this system is support for financial control. Let us consider how some of the above activities are done. An agent is assigned to every enterprise physical and abstract resource. In addition to complex agents, assigned to personnel, orders and products, there are also simpler agents assigned to business space, knowledge (skills), work tasks, money, materials and many other resources. Agents take an active part in negotiating the acquisition, scheduling and deployment of these resources. They also take care of the maintenance and development of the resource for which they are responsible. For example, the agent responsible for a workstation will search for the most convenient window in the workstation user's schedule to plan the backup of the disk content or its deletion after the expiry date. The knowledge agent monitors its client's ability to undertake work tasks, and if the agent notices the lack of necessary skills, it finds the first convenient window in the client's schedule to plan the necessary training, aiming at improving its client's competitiveness in the internal market of the enterprise. The Business Management System encompasses practically all the other vertical-market oriented systems developed by MagentA and is intended for supporting all main external and internal activities in a business.
