Intelligent
Network...
i-Networks are characterised by a number of important features: 1. A large number of modestly intelligent components (agents), which by means of a rich set of interactions create a powerful Emergent Intelligence. 2. Network components, which by being autonomous are capable of communicating with each other dynamically and establishing new links by means of their intelligent capabilities. They are capable of self-organisation. 3. Networks are open to users: users are provided with tools for updating and modifying the knowledge content of i-networks and thus changing their functionality 'on the fly', without interrupting their operation. 4. Networks are capable of changing in the course of their functioning on the basis of co-evolution, that is, the co-ordinated modification of elements of the intelligent network in response to changing environmental conditions. Every i-Network is a multi-agent MagentA System or any combination of such systems. In turn, each system consists of a network of complex or simple agents, each assigned to a resource, ie, a person, a physical object or an abstract entity. Complex agents, in their turn, consist of simpler agents. The interaction of the systems and their agents is based on their dynamic communication, aimed at searching for a balance of interests within the system environment, not on traditional, rigid, structural and functional design.
