Introduction

Venn 5 Explorer enables quick and easy customer overlap analysis and output across complex marketing selections. Users can import up to 5 separate unique reference number (URN) data sets from their database in ASCII format.

Using the mouse, click on any of the 31 separate intersections. Continue to highlight any cells, which you are interested in the same manner. The resulting combination criteria will be shown at the bottom of the diagram legend together with counts.

Once the selection has been made, simply select the export option from the toolbar or file menu and Venn 5 Explorer will output the composite file of unique reference numbers.

Terminology Used

In Venn5 terminology, the key distinction to make is the difference between a venn file and venn data. Venn data is the data that will be loaded into Venn5, i.e. all URN files, whether this is a .URN file or a file with a differing extension. A Venn file is a file saved and created by Venn5. A venn file will therefore have to be specifically created by the user.
