Know where a prospect is in their buying cycle for your
products and services! We fill gaps in customer and prospect insight with
animated e-surveys
Very often
you want to improve the message relevance to your customers, prospects
and suspects, but lack the insight needed to send them a
relevant message or offer.
For
instance, if you knew a customer was upset by the way your
company
handled a previous order but never complained, then you
could try to address the issue in your next marketing
communication. Or if serious, a phone call would help prevent
defection to one of your competitors!
Similarly,
if you knew a prospect had an interest in one (or more) of your
products in three months, you could add a relevant
communication
into your customer development

to promote that product, to that individual, in
8-10 weeks time.
And if you also had details of a particular
situation and problem a customer or prospect was facing, you

One way to find out what your
customers, prospects (those who have demonstrated an

A survey is a
good way to do this, but unfortunately as many people have
little time to spend on answering questions, the response
can be very poor.
Adding a
sensible incentive*** will clearly help, but being presented
with lists of text questions on multiple web pages is unlikely to
get much response.

Our five step implementation plan...
We need to understand what
products and services you offer, what in the past
customers have purchased, what are the possible
strengths and weaknesses of your solutions, and what you
want to sell in the future. This can be completed over
the telephone to save time.
We will develop a series
of questions for you to consider. You add some of your
own, or refine our suggestions. We will then reduce
these to a set of key points, answers to which can form
the basis of your customer development plan.

We will turn these questions into animated survey pages -
with a design that represents your brand and company
style. Importantly we will use animated icons
to add some humour to answering questions and hence
increase response. We set these
pages up on a dedicated website and
test the concept. You then need to approve the design.
We also create a custom database to store the responses.
Next step is to either send an email or mailer to invite
each customer or prospect to complete the survey, and
provide a URL link to the survey web pages. Optionally we
can develop a campaign for you, and after selecting
your target audience - which may require first acquiring
a
prospecting list based on your customer profiles - we run a
small campaign. For email, different subject lines could be tested, and
whichever pulls the most opens is then used when rolling out the
campaign.
We extract the responses from the survey database,
analyse the response, and present you with the findings.
We can optionally append this new
intelligence to your prospect and customer data, and send you the files.
Options. Usually an animated e-survey would form
part of a larger customer development plan, where prospects and
customers have been analysed, profiled and segmented, and a
multiple communication strategy has been deployed. Typically
though, this will need extra skills, resource and technologies of
the right kind to maximise marketing ROI and profits. To

case history...
Several
years ago we worked with a home improvement company who ran a
stand at the Ideal Home exhibition. A few weeks after the event
the Marketing Director asked what business was left to bring in.
The Sales Director reported all leads (visitors to their stand)
had been exhausted and it was unlikely any further business would
result.
So we recommended a survey
with a branded solar powered credit card calculator as an
incentive - cost £1 per calculator. We designed the
survey and sent it to around 4,000 visitors. 1,150
people responded. The great shock was the high number
of people indicating they wanted double glazing or
conservatories now or in 3 months, and also many indicating
6 months. The 12 month option may have been genuine in
some instances, but we suspect it was mainly used by people
just wanting their free calculator.
The sales team contacted the
survey respondents - but now on an informed basis
- and within just 1 week from
receiving the responses,
over £300,000 of new business had been written! This climbed
to over £1 million within the first month.
Not bad for a campaign
that cost less than £10,000 in its entirety!
