Retail Location Analysis – RUSH Hair Case Study
Awarded London Hairdresser of the Year in 2013, RUSH is a hairdressing brand passionate about providing a quality service and luxury customer experience.
With over 60 hair and beauty salons located in London and the South, RUSH is now expanding through a UK wide franchise model, focussing on strategically locating salons to maximise revenue and success long term.
RUSH recognised that each city earmarked for franchise expansion would be able to sustain a number of profitable salons. They therefore engaged Tech4T to undertake an in depth analysis of both the current RUSH salons and the expansion cities to determine the true revenue potential of each franchise area.
Tech4T undertook a statistical analysis and modelling project for the RUSH salon portfolio to identify the critical factors influencing existing salon revenue. A range of internal factors, such as salon size and opening hours, and locational factors, such as footfall drivers and competitor proximity, were considered.
Tech4T recommended strategic salon locations in the expansion cities that would attract RUSH target customers and generate maximum salon revenue. The prominent suggested locations were also chosen to strengthen the RUSH brand and to help gain market share.
